Beechwood Park Fun Fund!

When my family moved to our home a couple of years ago, we were intrigued by a small pocket park on our street.  Soon we learned that it had been a vacant lot that a few neighbors joined together to start a small non-profit and turn it into a green space that the whole community could use.  I've since joined the board and we have made some terrific progress including a pollinator garden, new stairs and an outdoor classroom and we have hopes of adding more features soon!

We work on a shoestring budget with many of us volunteering our time and energy (that's a picture of my daughter picking up trash!) to keep it clean and host events for the neighborhood.  

In the next year, we're hoping to add a mural from a local artist and power so we can have more free community events like concerts and movie nights! Chip in if you can to help us keep up with our park and bring some more fun to the community!
