The Friends at Sky Meadows State Park aim to continue preserving the park's natural beauty, host educational programs, and build community.

This fundraiser is about more than a single project. It's about caring for the whole park, its history, the landscapes, and the experiences it provides.

Your donation will play a vital role in this work. Your support helps ensure that Sky Meadows remains a place of learning, connection, and beauty for generations to come.

During Give Local Piedmont, your donation supports this work! Donations will aid in the repair and restoration of Mount Bleak House, where water damage threatens an important part of the park’s history. Mount Bleak House, a historic centerpiece of Sky Meadows, is in need of restoration after water damage affected part of the structure. Preserving this space means protecting an important piece of the Piedmont’s story and ensuring future visitors can continue to learn from and experience its history. At the same time, your donation will support the broader work that keeps Sky Meadows State Park thriving every day. From maintaining trails, protecting wildlife, and offering educational programs - we (FOSK) need to continue connecting people to the land and sky in meaningful ways.

Our Goals:

  • Restore and repair the damaged area of Mount Bleak House
  • Protect and preserve the park’s historic and natural resources
  • Sustain the Friends garden and pollinator programs
  • Support education, outreach, and visitor experiences
  • Strengthen community involvement through membership and volunteerism

This is a moment when your support goes further! Help us protect what matters the most right now, sustaining everything that makes Sky Meadows State Park special.
