At my agency, I knew this kid. He was a civilian in our booking department. His initials: J.K. He was a determined young man who wanted to make a name for himself. So J.K. left the comfort of our department to forge his own path. He went to a Sheriff's department in the far northern reaches of IL. While there, J.K. was assigned to the Marshall's service and it was during a high-risk warrant service that J.K. was taken from his family and his friends. This fundraiser is to support J.K.'s family and all of those who have suffered the same horrible fate.
