WHO WE ARE
Fond du Lac Philharmonique (FdLPe) is a new-concept community orchestra that incorporates professional quality, community involvement, as well as educational initiative in its founding principle. Led by a small core of professional musicians, which functions independently as a professional chamber music ensemble, FdLPe’s mission is to engage the community by providing meaningful orchestra participation opportunities and connecting professional musicians with community music enthusiasts and aspiring music students of all ages.
WHAT WE DO
Our main focus is on learning and enjoyment of standard symphonic repertoires including the opportunities to feature soloists of notable talents of all instruments. We will be presenting a Symphony (full-orchestra) Concert Series and a Chamber Music Concert Series throughout the year.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Our ‘Professional-Community-Students’ organizational model emphasizes open participation for the community and welcomes anyone who is interested to join. In particular, we strive to be a supportive environment, a testing ground for new graduates or current students of music major or minor who, in any given capacity, are embarking on their musical journey for the first time.
