Arts Education at St. Croix Festival Theatre

Arts Education at Festival has continued to thrive this year thanks to the support from our community as well as our wonderful donors! Though we are not currently able to meet in person, we're not letting that stop all the learning opportunities we've got coming your way!

This year, for the first time EVER, we turned our week long summer camp Art in Action into an after-school program! Through Siren's Moms for Kids, we spent a week in Siren School District where our campers created two original plays, two original dances, played too many games to count, and learned TONS about theatre! AND Art in Action will be back this summer! Keep checking back on our website to find out more information as it becomes available!

Arts Ed has also been hard at work with our Youth and Family Series! Though our production of Charlotte's Web was not able to be performed as scheduled, we are so thankful to have gotten to work with 25 youth actors in our community on such a heartwarming, warm show, and we hope to have many of them back very soon for this fall's production of Stuart Little!

This year, we were also so thankful to continue our partnership with St. Croix Falls' Community Learning Center. Over the course of the year, we had several SCF students join us for weekly workshops, learning about performance, set design, and props building, just to name a few things. This has allowed us to strengthen our relationship with our local schools, and we will be thrilled to have them back as soon as we can!

Our current situation has provided us with a new opportunity for excellence in the form of online learning through our Festiv@l Home series! On our YouTube and Facebook pages you can find a plethora of online videos on topics such as playwriting, props design, and musical theatre, as well as our online staged readings and music events! More content is being added every day, and it's such a pleasure to keep finding new and innovative ways to provide entertainment to our community!
