Our Extended Care Program families are struggling in Honduras!
Children in our Extended Care Program were hit the hardest by the global pandemic and natural disasters of 2020-2021. Like many other locations worldwide, COVID-19 led to mandatory lock-downs in Honduras and limitations in mass transit. This made accessibility to medical services virtually impossible for an extended period of time. Devastation by Hurricanes Eta and Iota in late 2020 have decreased economic resources and Honduras is still recovering.
Friends of Barnabas (FOB) is dedicated to providing relief!
Continued closure of public specialist offices, where care is provided for free, has led to increased costs at private clinics. Ongoing logistical hurdles and supply chain problems have not only made acquiring patient medications more difficult, but the prices have skyrocketed as well. In some cases, costs have more than tripled!
Regardless of the obstacles, FOB has continued serving these special children during the pandemic, as we developed new ways to maintain services without interruption.
With rising costs, we need your help to continue to provide the life-saving medications these children so desperately need!
My goal is to raise $2500 as part of an overall campaign to raise $20,000 which supports medications for one year for 75 Extended Care patients. It will provide medicines that these patients otherwise would not have access to and also allow FOB to continue providing care and services to meet ongoing needs.
Your gift TODAY will directly benefit a patient in need and will have an overwhelming impact on children’s lives during this most critical time in Honduras.
