KJ and Dev's Shelter Helpers for Homeless Animals

KJ has been raising money for Friends of Linden Animal Shelter(FOLAS), a local no-kill animal shelter, since 2014. A couple of years ago, he let his little brother Dev help him out. Together, they have raised over $4,000 to help animals find homes.  KJ was excited to find the FOLAS booth at our most recent street fair, where they now know him by name! 

I asked KJ and Dev to answer a few questions about their 2019 Track Friday fundraiser, and I did not edit their responses.... Please consider helping them reach their ambitious goal!!

Why did you choose this charity?

• K: "Because I like animals, but for some reason I’m not allowed to get a pet. Not a bird. Not even a Hamster, Gerbil, or Guinea pig. Right now, I’d even take a fish."
• D: "It's important to help animals because they need to get healthy."

How much do you want to raise?

• K: At least $2,000 but I want to get close to $3,000. I got about $1,500 last year and I like big changes, like getting a pet, but not changing time on video games. (That important to me).
• D: "A trillion dollars."

How many laps will you do on Track Friday?

• K: "That is what I am trying to figure out."
• D: "I wanna go around the track 20 times!"
