All of the dollars raised over our original goal will enable us to help families in need during the December holiday season.   

We can't express how thankful we are to all of the kind people who made the purchase of 5000 $25 Safeway gift cards possible.  And all of the community groups who will be receiving and distributing the 5000 turkeys donated by Shady Brook Farms and the gift cards donated by you  are equally grateful. 11/15/20 UPDATE:  

WOW!  Thanks to so many generous people, we have exceeded our 2020 Food 4 Families goal!

We do have a waiting list for turkeys and gift cards, so please continue to give.  No dollar will go unused.  And THANK YOU! 

Our friends at Shady Brook Farms have very generously donated 5000 turkeys for our annual campaign!  

Now we need your help to purchase $25 Safeway gift cards so that our recipients can supplement them with sides. Safeway has donated $25,000 to the cause.   Our partners at Comcast Business, Xfinity Communities, and Comcast  have already contributed $15,000.

Because of the pandemic, the need is greater than ever.  Your donation will help us provide complete Thanksgiving meals to families, seniors, people experiencing homelessness, veterans and other neighbors in need.  We partner with community groups and non-profits, churches, youth organizations, and fraternal organizations to distribute the meals.

All donations go to the Food 4 Families Fund at the Greater Washington Community Foundation and are tax-deductible.
