Supporting Foster Families through the State Parks!

When kids explore the outdoors, they build healthy bodies and minds. And what better place to enjoy Vermont’s woods, waters, and mountains than our amazing state parks!

The state works to provide access, particularly to underserved communities, but even modest user fees can create a barrier. That’s why one of Vermont Park Forever's goals is to increase access to Vermont's 55 state parks and it’s also why we partner with the Department of Children and Families every year to provide free state park passes to foster families.

"Thanks so much for the park passes. We used them all the time to bring the kiddos to Crystal Lake.  Watching my foster son gain confidence in his swimming, making friends and memories, made me so happy!  We are so grateful to be able to have unlimited access to that park." ~ VT Foster Mom

Last year, Vermont Parks Forever raised $3000 to purchase 100 park passes for foster families. This year we are raising our goal so that even more families can enjoy the parks and reap the benefits of spending time together outside.

Your gift can have double the impact, thanks to a longtime donor who has generously offered to match donations dollar for dollar up to $1500!

Please join us by making an online gift today to provide state park passes for foster families in Vermont this summer!

Checks can be made out to "Vermont Parks Forever" and mailed to Vermont Parks Forever, PO Box 815, Montpelier, VT 05601.  Please note Park Pass Program on your check memo.
