Sisters in a Crowded Shelter

Frieda and Florence are two sisters who have found themselves in a rural West Virginia shelter. They've had a rough life up until now, each with their own health challenges. Frieda has an old eye injury that went untreated and Florence is suspected to have skin cancer.

Nothing can be done now for Frieda's eye, but we can make sure she gets medical treatment from now on. Florence needs to have her ear amputated to keep the probable cancer from spreading. The girls are hoping that they can start over and the first step is getting out of the shelter and to Homeward Trails. They'll have more opportunities to meet adopters if they get out of the crowded shelter.
