What's Wrong with Fudge's Face?

Sweet Fudge was abandoned with her sister, Chocolate, when she was just a baby in rural Virginia. A good Samiritan took them into their home and looked for homes for them. Unfortunately, they couldn't find adopters and reached out to Homeward Trails for help. When Fudge arrived, we noticed something different about her face - part of her upper lip appears to be missing, leaving a gap when she closes her mouth. We're not sure if she was born like this or if it's a result of trauma.

We want to get her into the vet to see if there's anything we can do to help her, but we need your help to make that happen. Please help Fudge on her last step before adoption!
