Your Donations Matched!

Update posted 6 years ago

We are so excited to announce and invite you to join our Faith & Vocation Fellowship campaign for 2018. Thanks to the generosity of the Siebert Lutheran Foundation, all donations to Lutheran Campus Ministry up to $10,000 will be matched! Please help us maximize this match by donating now and sharing news and information about the match on social media.

When I meet alumni from Lutheran Campus Ministry, I am continually impressed by the diverse ways that they have taken on leadership roles in the church and their communities for the sake of Christ’s gospel. Some alumni go on to be pastors and church workers, while others become church council members and Sunday School teachers. Many serve Christ in their chosen professions as nurses, social workers, and engineers.

I am inviting you to join Lutheran Campus Ministry as we embark on a new journey to help young people to see the work of God in many and diverse ways in the world, and to raise up new leaders who will carry the gospel into their daily lives.

In September 2018, we will introduce our first cohort of Faith & Vocation Fellows. These five young men and women will covenant to grow in faithtogether, to serve God in our community, and to authentically explorehow God is present in their daily lives.

Each fellow will spend ten hours per week working in a partner ministry-- for example, doing youth ministry in a local congregation, serving in a food pantry and homeless outreach program, or working with the elderly at a local nursing facility. In addition to these hours, the fellows will gather together each week to pray in diverse ways, learn about our Christian heritage, and faithfully reflect on how God is present in their daily work and life. Because this important work will require a seriouscommitment of time, each fellow will receive a stipend for their service.

We need your help to make this new program possible, and when you give, your impact will be doubled. The Siebert Lutheran Foundation has generously committed to match gifts for this new program dollar for dollar up to $10,000. Your gift will raise up new leaders for our church and God’s work in the world. Because of you, a young person will see the many masks through which God’s work is made manifest. In addition, through your gift, local ministries will be blessed by the energy and curiosity of the Faith & Vocation Fellows who are able to serve them.

In Christ,

Rev. Emily Klock Tveite
