The work of St. Louis County SAVE is possible because the dedicated, compassionate shelter volunteers and caring community members like YOU. During this difficult time we are trying to fast track our animals into loving foster homes and limit their time in the shelter. We need your help more than ever! Recently, we have had MANY dogs that have been heartworm positive. We often provided our rescue partners financial assistance in the medical treatment of our animals, especially now, when we rely on them so heavily with our shelter being closed to the public. Our $2,500 House Pawty goal is attainable. We've got this! Help us help the animals. Donate / Share / Join the team!
In early 2018, St. Louis Animal Care and Control had very few volunteers and many, many animals. This non profit took root when a beloved dog and long time resident, Gabe was found to be heartworm positive. This was devastating to his adopters. A handfull of volunteers quickly came together in the parking lot and collected the several hundred dollars to cover his treatment. Instead of being euthanized, Gabe is now living his best life in a wonderful, happy home. St. Louis County SAVE has gone on to provide marketing, education, medical treatment, toys, bones, supplies and pledges for rescues to enrich the lives of thousands of cats and dogs that come through the St. Louis County Shelter.
Thank you!
