Join us on Friday, May 1, 2026, at The Waters for the Oshkosh Area School District Education Foundation Fundraising Gala. Proceeds from this event will support visual and performing arts programs, educators, and students across the Oshkosh Area School District.
This year’s gala will celebrate the creativity, expression, and talent found throughout our schools. From visual art and design to music, theater, and dance, the evening will shine a spotlight on the essential role the arts play in a well rounded education and vibrant school community.
The visual and performing arts empower students to think creatively, communicate confidently, and collaborate effectively. These programs foster self expression, discipline, and innovation while helping students develop skills that translate across academic areas and into future careers.
In the Oshkosh Area School District, students engage in the arts through a wide range of opportunities that build progressively over time. These experiences nurture talent, encourage exploration, and provide meaningful outlets for students to discover their voices and passions.
The visual and performing arts are vital to K 12 education by:
Encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving skills that benefit students in every area of learning
Building confidence, resilience, and communication skills through performance, critique, and collaboration
Supporting social emotional development by providing students with meaningful ways to express ideas and emotions
Creating inclusive spaces where students of all backgrounds can connect, contribute, and thrive
Strengthening school culture and community pride through performances, exhibitions, and shared experiences
Preparing students for future opportunities in creative industries and beyond by developing transferable skills valued across professions
