27 years ago, I joined the Tommy Nobis Center staff. And 27 years later, I still call it home. I’ve seen many changes through the years, including our move to a new location this year! The one thing that has remained the same is our impact on the lives of people with disabilities in Georgia and across the country. I’ve had the privilege of seeing countless lives changed because of our programs and watched youth and adults with disabilities rise above their challenges and reach their employment goals. The people I have met and served have taught me the true meaning of perseverance, acceptance, and hope.
My mother was one of my biggest supporters during my 27 years at Tommy Nobis Center. This year, as I ask for the support of my family and friends while I raise funds on GAgives on Giving Tuesday, I am making a special request. I am asking you to help me celebrate and honor my mother on December 3rd, which is her birthday and also GAgives Day. Your donation will help fund educational scholarships for youth and young adults with disabilities, giving them the chance to participate in our programs at no cost and begin their journey to professional success.
Tommy Nobis Center gave me an opportunity and a work home. Won’t you help me give people with disabilities the opportunity they deserve to find their work home?
Thank you for your support.
