Volunteering at Bernheim Forest & Arboretum I enjoy the opportunities to be in nature, working with artists from around the world and meeting individuals who love this place equally or more than me.
- At 16,142 acres, Bernheim is the largest privately-held forest dedicated to conservation and education in the eastern United States!
- We engage thousands of children (and adults!) through educational programs, camps, guided hikes, and community events, ensuring that the next generation of Earth's caretakers are inspired and informed and feel a sense of belonging in nature!
- The land we steward is home to millions of plants and animals, including bobcats, river otters, beaver, at least 229 species of birds, and literal millions of salamanders. This forest and its watersheds protect Kentucky's incredible biodiversity and multiple endangered species!
- Individuals find respite and wellness in nature, and families make memories that last lifetimes and traditions that span generations.
It's hard work and takes a lot of resources to continue caring for this land and sharing this treasure with Kentuckians and out-of-state visitors. Help us raise the funds we need this Give For Good! A gift of any size helps me reach my goal and has an impact on this land! Please give today - your generosity is conservation in action!
