For the past four years, my children and I have had the incredible opportunity to experience the joy of CLAY DAY in their classrooms, thanks to this amazing nonprofit that provides free ceramic art education to students from TK to 8th grade all across Long Beach. This organization has made a lasting impact, not only in fostering creativity but also in building confidence and problem solving skills in young minds.
As a volunteer in their classrooms, I've seen firsthand the magic that happens when children get theirs hands in clay - shaping, molding, collaborating with their peers in expressing their ideas in ways that can't always be captured with paper and pencils.
It's more that just an art class; its a chance for students to explore, experiment, and bring their imaginations to life, all while learning important skills like patience, persistence, and collaboration.
Unfortunately, many schools don't have the resources to offer this kind of enriching, hands-on art education. That is where CLAY DAY LBC steps in, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to work with clay, regardless of their school's budget.
We need your help to keep this program going. Your donations will directly support bringing ceramic art to more classrooms, providing supplies like clay, glazes, and tools, as well as funding the passionate educator who make it all possible. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference in a child's education and creative growth.
Please join me in supporting this cause and ensuring that students across our Long Beach community continue to benefit from the transformative power of ceramic art!
