We are honoring the musical heritage of Georgiana, Alabama, Hank Williams, Sr.'s boyhood home, through AIR Georgiana, an artists-in-residence program designed to develop and showcase musicians, luthiers, and musical culture and welcome visitors to this small southern city. Charitable support will help us launch Georgiana Music, where we'll sell musical instruments and supplies for the benefit of AIR Georgiana's artists and programs and host monthly music events and workshops.
Our other AIR location, Andalusia, Alabama, focuses on the textile arts and features the Cotton Street Gallery, home to beautiful handcrafted wearables, gifts, and art for sale for benefit of AIR Andalusia.
AIR Artists, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that works with the leaders and residents of small towns to enrich local culture and spur economic development through artists-in-residence programs themed around each community’s unique cultural heritage.
