$5,000 goal
Philadelphia is in a crisis. The school district shut schools and cut 4,800 staff positions to close the $304 million deficit. As a result, music, art and afterschool programs have all but disappeared and our children pay the price. STAMP: The Virginia & Harvey Kimmel Family Teen Program is helping to fill the gap by providing our Philadelphia teens with FREE access to amazing museums and cultural attractions, as well as special creative and educational activities.
We need your help to allow as many teens as possible to participate! We can’t do it alone, but with the support of people - like you - we can make a significant impact on the lives of thousands of Philadelphia teens.
STAMP: An Overwhelming Response
STAMP is open to all 68,000 teens in Philadelphia, and already the response to the program has been overwhelming. More than 5,000 teens have signed up for the STAMP Pass, which gets them free access to 12 of the city’s best museums, as well as educational activities and special events hosted at participating cultural organizations. We hope to enroll 10,000 before the end of the school year.
You can help!
This is where you come in. For every $10 donated, we can enroll one Philadelphia teen in the STAMP program. Please consider sponsoring a STAMP pass for one Philadelphia teen (or more!), ensuring they, too, can experience the outstanding cultural heritage our city has to offer.
Our Goal
This #GivingTuesday (December 3, 2013), our goal is to raise enough money to sponsor 500 teens. And here’s the exciting part: If we reach 500 sponsorships, Virginia & Harvey Kimmel have generously offered to match all #GivingTuesday donations. If we reach our goal, your gift will have double the impact!!!
What you’ll get in return (besides joy in helping Philadelphia's teens):
