Not everyone has access to clean water.

Zambia is one of the poorest nations in the world. Many of their 14 million citizens struggle to provide themselves and their families with basic human needs. 4.8 million people are currently living without access to clean water and are forced to drink unclean water.

Their drinking water is often polluted by dangerous pathogens caused by the presence of dead animals upstream and large amounts of untreated waste matter left from using the water source as a toilet. The majority of these Zambians live outside the city limits in remote areas, making it nearly impossible to ship clean water to them. Drinking unclean water can lead to the development of waterborne diseases such as: Cholera, Diarrhea, Typhoid and Malaria. These diseases spread rapidly, infecting and killing men, women and children.

Thankfully, there is a solution. We work with Seeds of Hope to clean this unsanitary water, removing the dangerous pathogens with water filtration systems. Made of concrete, sand and gravel, these water filters are long-term solutions. They are 95% effective after the first month of use, and 99.9% effective after that.

Your gift of $85 will provide a Zambian family with clean water for the rest of their lives, and a gift of $5,000 will provide an entire village with clean water for a lifetime!

However, some villages are too remote or do not have the necessary land to install these water filters. New technology has been developed to help these people too.

For $10, two small ceramic bars called Madi Drop can be used to disinfect water for a year for an entire family.

These tablets are low cost, portable and a great short-term solution to help those who cannot install water filtration systems.

We are called to help those in despair. God instructs us let the love he has shown us shine through into real action to aid those in need: “But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” (1 John 3:17-18 ESV). Be part of the amazing things that God is doing in the nation of Zambia by donating today.

Thank you for considering this mission!
