This #GivingTuesday, it’s all about elephants!

At the Performing Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), we’re dedicating this special day to the six extraordinary elephants who call our 2,300-acre Northern California sanctuary home.

Our goal: Raise $80,000 — the cost of two months of expert care for the elephants.

Each elephant has a story to tell:

  • Prince, Nicholas, and Gypsy were once forced to perform in circuses.
  • Toka and Thika were on display in a zoo.
  • Mara, with PAWS since 1990, is our beloved longest-term resident.

Caring for one healthy elephant costs about $80,000 a year.

Caring for all six elephants at PAWS? That’s roughly $40,000 per month – over $1,300 every single day – and the costs keep rising.

At PAWS, the elephants live as naturally as possible, surrounded by the quiet of nature. They roam acres of natural sanctuary, with grassy rolling hills, shady oak trees, and lakes.

Our dedicated caregivers are on-site 24/7, ensuring their comfort, health, and contentment.

Your gift this #GivingTuesday makes this life possible.

Every dollar provides nutritious food, expert care, and the safety and serenity these elephants deserve.

Join us in making this a day that truly celebrates the elephants at PAWS. Your gift makes a life-changing difference!
