Give & Surf's Giving December 2023

Give & Surf is stoked to kick off our 9th Annual Giving December campaign on #GivingTuesday, November 28th, an international day dedicated to giving back! 

The educational programs and services we provide free to the local communities are needed now more than ever. Panama has one of the worst education systems in the world, particularly in the areas of reading, science & math. Currently, 1 in 2 children are living in poverty and only 50% of students are graduating from high school.  

For over 12 years, Give and Surf has been committed to providing free, high quality educational programs to the disadvantaged youth and teens of Bocas del Toro. Our programs include preschool & kindergarten, after-school programs, summer camps, English classes, STEM lessons, and various extracurricular activities. We also offer a school lunch program in 11 public schools, assist with school transportation, and have 30 students on university scholarships! Most recently, we launched a vocational training program for young adults to train them in the tourism & hospitality  so they can secure better jobs within our community.
