Girls Rock! Rochester is dedicated to using music creation and performance as tools for cultivating self-confidence in girls, queer youth, and trans youth. We foster creativity through a supportive community of peers and mentors, while developing life and leadership skills to affect positive social change.

Since 2012, we have...

• Awarded over $25,000 in financial aid with more than half of all campers receiving financial aid annually
• Engaged nearly 100 volunteers in the Greater Rochester community
• Received an outpouring of support from the community. We can proudly say over 70% of our annual funding comes from individual gifts and grants from the Greater Rochester community.

Girls Rock! Rochester offers the following programs:

Girls Rock Camp and Queer Rock Camp - At camps, girls, queer youth, and trans youth receive instruction on the instrument of their choice, attend workshops, form a band with new friends, write an original song together, and perform in a showcase at a local venue for the public. Girls Rock and Queer Rock are both fully inclusive to girls, queer youth, and trans youth. 

Gear Loan Program - Campers can borrow instruments and gear from GR!R's stock to continue their music exploration and education beyond camp.
