Founded in 2010, Global Growers Network partners with people from diverse cultures who grow fresh food for their families and for local marketplaces. Over 300 families, most of whom are resettled refugees, grow produce across our network of 8 farm and garden sites in metro Atlanta.
Together, we build and sustain networks of land, resources, markets, and people in order to create a more equitable food system that is driven by cultural diversity, inclusive economies, and regenerative agriculture practices.
Most of the grower families in our network live in and around Clarkston, a pandemic hotspot. We expect that approximately 100 families in our network will not be able to continue to grow fresh food at their plots in this growing season.
Help us convert unused food plots into food relief production gardens to meet emergency food needs of at least 100 impacted families. This initiative will focus on producing nutrient-dense produce for families who can no longer grow food at their plots and/or experience destabilizing loss of work and income.
Together we can meet the emergency food needs of this vulnerable population while creating the conditions for these talented farmers to rebuild a more equitable and resilient food system in Atlanta.
