December 11, 2024 Update

Thanks to you, Gotham is closing out a successful 2024. We played a full season of games in Brooklyn, we skated at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey, we met Whoopi Goldberg at one of our games, we trained new classes of basic training skaters and juniors, and we returned to WFTDA Champs.

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to sustain our current space's rental costs, which means that we need to find other spaces to bring our programs, practices, and games to in addition to LeFrak.

To the best of our ability, we will keep rolling in the new year while we continue to search for a permanent home and ways to keep Gotham open and accessible for all. Gotham will also remain a safe space for our LGBTQIA+ community, especially our juniors, who take solace in Gotham celebrating them exactly as they are. For many in our league, Gotham remains the only organized sports organization they are able to safely participate in.

Now more than ever, we need you — our community — to keep roller derby open and alive in the city.

Can you donate to protect safe spaces for queer youth and adults?

Help keep us skating in spaces near you, and to keep one of the few, safe sports-related communities afloat for queer youth and adults in New York City.

Thank you,
Gotham Roller Derby
