$500 goal

30 Days to Family is a short term diligent search and family engagement program that contacts and locates family members, relatives and kin of youth when entering foster care.  During this 30 day process, relatives are notified immediately with discussions held on how they can become a potential placement resource and/or support for the youth.  The goal is to lessen trauma by placing youth in identified safe and appropriate relative homes in order to maintain relationships and connections.  We know that oftentimes people are not prepared to take additional persons into their homes with such short notice.  But 30 Days to Family works hard at decreasing barriers by securing resources such as beds and furnishing, obtaining safety items for relatives to meet state licensing criteria, finding community resource programs and networks, and identifying the needs of the youth to make the appropriate referrals for services.  In order to meet the needs of our youth and families, we are asking for your help.  Not only does every child deserve a place to call home; but every child deserves a home with relatives in which their culture, history and sense of identity is a priority.
