Patient Assistance Grant Fund Donations

Patient Assistance/Grant Funding – Give directly to our Grant fund that will go out 100% to pALS across the country!   As you can see below, the demand/need has grown exponentially for grants, as funding elsewhere has gone away and we are being recommended as a resource by ALS clinics and ALS Associations across the country.  

Memorial Donations That Honor Those Lost to ALS - 

To have make your donation a memorial in memory of a loved one lost to ALS, means that anyone receiving a grant will be notified their gift comes from your loved one’s memorial fund (Minimum gift of $1,000 to be a designated memorial fund).  As well, the honoree will be listed on our website.  

How To Do It - Please make the donation on this page, put their name in the comments, and email Amy@racingforals.com with the following information:

• The Honoree's Name as you want it listed.
• A note about the person being remembered to tell the grant recipient about who the honoree (Optional).  
  ** Note Length of up to 150 words.  
• A picture of the person being remembered (Optional).
  
  

The importance of your Donation - 

• In 2025, we had our first ever waitlist for grants, even with us going to smaller grants as the demand outstripped what we raised.  
• This is a big challenge with the speed that this disease impacts pALS.
• Time is of the Essence - With a 3.5 month delay, when we sent out 26 grants after Dave’s Race 7, 10% of the pALS had already transitioned on, which for us was heartbreaking (We allowed the families to use the grants for end of life costs).  
• You can help us make sure that we can send out grants in a timely manner by helping us fully fund this program.
