Our part of Reno has a lot of strays in need of basic Veterinary Care. There are a few brave men and women who are safely catching these animals, getting them Spayed/Neutered, & basic shots, then releasing them back into our neighborhood. Options Veterinary Clinic offers these services at an Extremely Generous Discount but it's not free. Our good friends at Options Veterinary Clinic Deserve our Generous Support.
The following is the story of one of our Amazing Pets.
May 13,2023- Alice strolled across Longley Lane & Spring Dr. with a teenage couple. She stayed within the crosswalk at all times. I thought what a well-trained kitten. I noticed that the couple continued to walk not paying any attention to the Kitten. This was clearly not their cat.
Alice realized that she was lost and that no one was going to help her. She looked up seemingly insurmountable jagged rock towards Sneakers Bar. She looked into the sewer drain. She saw people in cars driving fast on Longley Lane. Disaster was her only future.
I was in the turning lane on Spring Drive. My wife: a former War Deployed Veteran, Nurse, & Shieldmaiden of those in need, jumps out of our car and picks Alice up like she had always been our beloved MEOW!
Alice enjoyed the car ride to our home. We tried to find her proper home for a month. Our adult son was in need of the Joy & Delight that Alice always seems to bring to everyone that she is around. He said her name is Alice and she is my kitty. We happily approved.
