$3,500 goal

In 2017, the Cranford Middle School band directors implemented a fundraising campaign to begin the rejuvenation process of our school owned musical instrument inventory. We've been able to raise almost $15,000 to date with tremendous help and support from the Cranford Jaycee's, local organizations such as CFEE and Investor's Bank, and other smaller fundraisers.  This money has afforded us the opportunity to purchase several new pieces of concert equipment. Our new instruments are used regularly throughout the year for our band student's many classes, rehearsals, and performances.

This year, we are raising funds to purchase new marching drumline percussion instruments.  Students will be able use this equipment for their many "on the road" performances.  These include the Jaycee's Track Friday fundraiser, Breakfast with Santa community event, community holiday caroling, Halloween parades, and the annual Memorial Day Parade. Our current equipment is very old, heavy, and dilapidated.  It has antiquated over the shoulder harnesses that are cumbersome and unsafe for younger musicians to wear. These old pieces of equipment do not support current percussion technique teaching methods or assist in the preparation of our growing musicians transitioning into the high school band program.  New equipment will be much lighter and will include the appropriate harnesses needed to wear the drums safely. Please help us reach our goal so that we can continue the great tradition of Middle School musicians sharing their talents with the community throughout the years in Cranford!
