Hans🐵, Dah-Kah🦉 and Paul 🦅need X-ray exams !

☤ OUR VET  NEEDS  X-RAY VISION!!  🙈

A digital mobile X-Ray machine is desperately needed at the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Sanctuary (CWOT) to accurately diagnose and to provide timely treatment to the animals in their care. CWOT also rescues and rehabilitates local Zambian wildlife which mainly arrive sick or badly injured. 

There is currently no X-ray facilities where the CWOT animal care team could take the chimpanzees or new rescues for exams in the nearby area, obligating them to treat animals "blindly", causing delayed diagnostics and prognosis. The veterinary team is expecting that with their new Veterinary and Research Centre🏥 that the sanctuary is  planning to build soon, that their capacity of rescues will also increase, and having the ability to perform good quality radiographs in house will be an even more needed feature.

As Chimfunshi is so big and chimpanzees enclosures distant from each one another, the vet needs to move from one area to the other with a vehicle, and that is why a machine that is mobile and battery operated is needed to better suit all the needs of the place as it will also allow voluntary anesthesia free exams from collaborative chimpanzees.

The cost of an new mobile digital X-ray machine and accessories is $35,000. This important project can only be accomplished by your kindness and generosity. Whatever amount you can give towards this purchase will go far in helping Chimfunshi provide the best care and welfare to the chimpanzees and reducing suffering of animals that arrive sick or injured.
