Warning! Graphic photo below. Heidi was recently spayed and this girl just won't keep her cone on. She managed to rip out most of her stitches and we had to have a vet clean out her incision and re-close it. She had a new cone that she shouldn't have been able to get out of, but she did. And she did a lot of damage.
Her foster woke up and Heidi had removed all of her internal and external stitches and had created a gaping wound. She was rushed to the vet where she's receiving treatment including pain meds and antibiotics. She may need to undergo surgery again to close it if other less invasive methods fail.
We had a talk with her and she promises not to do it again (we mostly believe her), but she's receiving intensive care to make sure she doesn't get the opportunity to try again. This isn't cheap. Please help by donating to her medical fund or sharing her story.
