Please support our E-Race Extinction campaign by Stop Poaching Now! (SPN) to support their species projects: Project Elephant, Project Rhino and Project Tiger to save these species from extinction.
Iâm a part of Team Tiger:
There are a mere 42 remaining Tiger breeding sites in the world; Manas National Park India is one of them.Â
A UNESCO world heritage site, this area is one of the few places in the world seeing an increase in wild tiger population having increased from 14 to 21 since 2012. This increase is a massive achievement for conservation but is itself a risk to the tiger population there. With an increase in tiger population the national park has been increased by 350km2, but it wonât be able to contain these tigers and the local community of 71,000 surrounding the park often go into the park to get firewood and food.Â
It is critical to give the local communities other ways to sustain themselves without needing to enter the park, to avoid livestock or human deaths by tigers which would result in revenge killing of the tigers. Weâre working to help decrease this human-wildlife conflict and help pay for the parks protection.

Team Tigerâs fundraising goals:
$600âTo set up 20 households with mushroom cultivation farming. This provides those households with food and income without needing to encroach on Tiger Forest causing conflict between local communities and tigers.
$1300âBuys 100 wood efficient cooking stoves, reducing the amount local communities need to encroach on Tiger Forest causing conflict between local communities and tigers.
$1900 - Pays for a tree nursery caretaker to help cultivate fire wood tree nurseries to stop people needing to go into the Tiger Forest causing conflict between local communities and tigers.
$6200âProvision of a book on âLiving with Tigersâ to all the schools surrounding the Manas National Park, India.
$10,000 - Pays for an education manager to go to all the schools and communities in the area to help teach ways to live sustainably without the forest, how to avoid tigers, and the skills they need to drive tourism in the area to earn money off of the live tigers.
Your gift will make a big difference for those species in desperate need. Please donate generously!
DID YOU KNOW?
100 elephants are poached every day
There are more tigers alive in captivity than in the wild
There are only 42 wild tiger breeding sites left in the world
That often baby rhino calves die as a result of their mother being poached and no longer being able to support them
Thank you,
