My mission is to run the Oregon section of the Pacific Crest Trail for charity and to break the fastest known Supported time (FKT). The supported record is 8 days and 12 hours for the 453 mile section of the trail is held by Yassine Diboun and Scott Loughney .
While it is great to be able to attempt such an effort it is important to remember that it would not even be possible to do such a thing without the time, effort, and resources of the PCTA. This group maintains the trail and ensures it stays open and accessible for everyone that wants to use it.
Of course this can't happen without donations. Equipment, fuel, education, and more are all needed to keep this trail in top shape for years to come.
