Aïcha was 14 when she aged out of the orphanage. With no family and no skills, she slept on the streets of Abidjan. She was not alone. Every year, thousands of children in Côte d’Ivoire face the same heartbreaking fate — temporary shelters that end when they turn 18.

That is the pain we can no longer accept.

In 2015, I founded Help The Needy Inc. because temporary aid was not enough. We dreamed of something permanent: Help The Needy Village— a 15–25 hectare self-sustaining community in Côte d’Ivoire where orphans, single mothers, and abandoned youth finally have a real home they never have to leave.

Imagine walking through the village gates. Children play safely in the courtyard. Single mothers tend the women-led Agriculture Hub — raising 5,000 chickens, harvesting bananas and vegetables, and processing plantain chips that generate real income. In the Nessenouhe Youth Centre, youth learn masonry, sewing, IT, and entrepreneurship. The infirmary provides care, the canteen serves hot meals, and every resident contributes to a community that belongs to them.

This is not another orphanage. It is a permanent village where residents grow food, earn income, and build futures together. By Year 8, the village will generate $1.2–1.8 million annually from farm sales, the co-op supermarket, events, and processing — becoming fully self-sustaining so it can operate without perpetual donations.

But we cannot build it alone.

Phase 1 — land, water system, first homes, and the Agriculture Hub — needs your support today. Every gift helps secure permanent housing for the first 250 children and mothers, launches the farm that will feed them, and starts the training that will empower them.

Your donation today plants seeds of dignity that will grow for generations. It says to Aïcha and thousands like her: “You are home. You are safe. You have a future.”

Together, we can prove that no child ever has to be needy again.

Will you help us build the village?

Thank you for believing in permanent solutions.
