Thank to all the supporters so far!

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter and FANS of WCRAS invite you to participate in the National House to help animals in need! This event will raise funds for the outside veterinary care needed by the sick and injured dogs and cats brought to our shelter.

Since December 2010, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS) has been a no-kill shelter, striving to save every healthy and treatable companion animal who enters our facility. Last year, WCRAS served over seven thousand lost and abandoned animals and spent over $50,000 treating and healing the injured. As a government facility, we are not funded to provide this extraordinary and lifesaving care. We rely solely on the donations to Jane’s Fund, our Medical Fund, provided by supporters like you.

Dogs like Velvet who was rescued after being thrown out of a moving vehicle. This cruel act led to Velvet needing hip and knee surgeries and a prolonged recuperation using a custom leg brace. Velvet also had multiple old injuries including a missing part of her lip and ear. Because of your support, she was able to receive the medical care she desperately needed. Velvet no longer walks with her brace and is ready to find her true home.

Or, cats like Brie who arrived at our shelter as a stray with a cancerous mammary mass that needed to be removed and skin issues that needed to be resolved. With extensive cooperation with outside veterinary dermatologist, it was determined that Brie’s skin condition was due to allergies. Her beautiful coat is now maintained with medication and a diet of alligator. Because of this extensive medical care, Brie is now ready to find her true home.

Please join us in becoming a team member or a donor (or both!) to help the animals in need of medical care. Thank you for being a lifesaver!
