Huntress Has Spent Her Life Outside

Huntress has spent her life living outside with more than 10 other dogs in rural Virginia.   A lifetime with only limited human contact has left her terrified of people and new situations.   Poor Huntress as spent over a month at her rural shelter, desperately trying to make herself smaller to hide under or behind her bed, frightened of anyone trying to provide even the most basic necessitates -- food, water and medical care.  This loud, cold and stressful environment will only deepen her fears and make it harder for her to gain trust in those who wish to care for her.  Huntress is in desperate need of a safe and quiet home where she can take the time she needs to decompress and learn that not all people are scary!  Please, help us get Huntress out NOW before her fears overcome her.
