BARCS, the shelter in Baltimore, received a call that they needed to take cats from a hoarding situation. The owner, who was going to hospice care, believed she had 30 cats in her home. When officers arrived, there were over 130 cats living in her home. Because BARCS is an open admission shelter, they are taking all of the cats into their care. But they need rescues like Homeward Trails to help.
Most of the cats are under socialized and hadn't received vet care in years, but they deserve a happily ever after and we are committed to helping them reach that. Homeward Trails went to assess the cats and brought back 5, while promising to take more as space becomes available. These cats have a long road ahead of them as they get used to receiving affection from people, but we know it will be worth it. Please help us help these cats.
