A little stronger every day
Honey continues to recover at home with her foster. She is getting a little stronger every day. She will need our ongoing care and support while she recuperates. It may take some time, but weâre not going anywhere. We want Honey to take all the time she needs. Weâre just so glad that sheâs finally recovering and getting well again!
Honey spent the night at the hospital! First she wasn't eating, then she started throwing up. Honey is just 3-weeks old, and we know a hint of illness in puppies can become true distress in minutes. There wasn't a moment to lose. Our team jumped into action and rushed Honey to the emergency vet where she could be closely monitored and treated.
We've since learned that Honey has terrible worms! She is still having trouble eating. She's throwing up and severely dehydrated. Fortunately, we can treat the worms and manage her symptoms. But we have to be careful. With her age and size, she is a fragile little thing.
Honey is a baby. She is one of Butter's puppies--the poor dog who gave birth to 10 puppies at a construction site. To be so young, and already have such an uphill battle to climb...
We will do everything we can to treat Honey's worms and help her recover quickly, but we will need your support.
