Throughout my 7 years as a staff member with HandsOn San Diego, I have seen how crucial volunteerism is in meeting our community's basic needs and creating positive change. Our volunteers generously share their time, skills, and experience with our nonprofit partners. Our nonprofit partners need volunteer support to meet their missions providing food justice, creating a more equitable society, fighting climate change, and more.
On a daily basis I hear how needed our organization is in San Diego, but our growth has been limited by funding. With this campaign, I hope we can increase our capacity to serve more organizations and volunteers.
HandsOn San Diego is celebrating 10 years and over 100,000 hours of community service!
For the third annual San Diego Gives countywide campaign on September 7, I'm asking for donations for HandsOn San Diego. The mission means a lot to me. Please contribute to my fundraiser to support the work HandsOn San Diego is accomplishing in the community.
HandsOn San Diego is the local volunteer center serving San Diego County. Its goal is to connect San Diegans looking for volunteer opportunities to the organizations that need their support by gathering opportunities throughout the county into one central place. In 2022, HandsOn San Diego deployed 8,621 volunteers, who served 100 local nonprofits and accomplished over 4500 volunteer projects! Since its founding in 2013, over 40,500 San Diegans have found their way to give back, completing over 12,600 volunteer projects and serving more than an amazing 100,000 hours!
Give a gift today to continue HandsOn San Diego's work in supporting our community.
