Chiari Warrior's

In 1992, at the age of 7, I remember having brain surgery for Chiari malformation. I remember suffering with severe headaches before (and after) the surgery. I remember having to be rushed to Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia in the middle of the night, shortly after being released from the hospital bc of the pain. My parents had to transport me 3 hours, listening to me scream bloody murder. I remember being made fun of when I was able to return back to school, bc I had to have brain surgery. I remember feeling like an outcast for a while. The surgery is done way different today, than from when I had it done, but more research needs to be done, more money needs to be put towards this to hopefully one day be able to find a cure, or at least something to give Chiari Warrior's relief from the chronic pain! 

Today, as I am nearing my 35th birthday in August, I have been experiencing complications again because of Chiari. I have been unable to work since February 24th, been in retail for 18 years, and in management for 16 of those years,I have been relying on my Beard product business to help support my family. I am faced with chronic neck and back pain, migraines just about daily, numbness and tingling in my left arm and fingers. I suffer from degenerative disc disease, arthritis in my back, scoliosis and Syringomyelia as well. Life has been tough, especially lately, but I would LOVE to help this community and others who suffer, like myself, out.
