Dyslexia Support for Chldren

Dyslexia impacts more than just reading ability - it can severely affect mental health and self-image. Individuals with dyslexia often develop negative self-perceptions due to repeated academic struggles. This creates a cycle where learning difficulties, depression, and poor performance reinforce each other. Without effective intervention, dyslexia can result in long-term academic, social, and self-esteem issues that can persist into adulthood. 

Dyslexia also affects families, as parents find it hard to provide their children with the specific support they need; especially since tutoring services in southern Arizona are scarce and costly, creating significant barriers for families seeking essential support for their children.

SEEF is the sole organization working to provide dyslexia services in southern Arizona and urgent action is needed to help children with dyslexia in our community. With limited dyslexia services available, SEEF is working to provide free tutoring to support both current and future students who otherwise couldn't get this critical assistance. An investment in this underserved population is an investment in our community, as it benefits not only the students but also their families, creating a ripple effect of positive outcomes.
