As Executive Director of IL Sheriffs' Association, and a sworn officer myself, I am committed to our Mission to support the 102 Illinois County Sheriffs and the Citizens of Illinois. With that responsibility comes ISA’s efforts to help organizations like ILCOPS. The Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors is a non-profit organization, which provides resources to assist in rebuilding the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line-of-duty. Illinois C.O.P.S. provides emotional, financial support, and legal assistance to survivors of fallen officers. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, their support is just a phone call away!
Law enforcement and corrections are noble professions that are steeped in dedication, bravery and above all the call to SERVICE. Sometimes this service is met with the ultimate sacrifice. During the month of May, we hold the Peace Officers Memorial to honor our fallen heroes and their surviving family members for their sacrifices and for placing the lives of others ahead of their own.
This is all part of the ISA's commitment to the men and women in blue as they face conditions that none of us envy. For my second year, I will be one of the members participating in the 22nd Annual Cycle Across Illinois event. Please won’t you consider a donation to support this worthy cause! Every dollar matters!
Sincerely, Jim Kaitschuk | Illinois Sheriffs’ Association
