The New Orleans field of CrossRoads Missions was born out of Hurricane Katrina. We have continued relief work for hurricanes since, but over the past 20 years we have expanded our ministry.
Our goal is to work with local partners so that your short-term mission trip has long-term impact. There are many amazing organizations working year round in the greater New Orleans area. We work with churches, community centers, local government, shelters, community gardens, coastal restoration, schools, and so much more.
By supporting CrossRoads Missions New Orleans, you aren't just supporting one ministry, you are supporting a network of organizations that work together to do more than any of us could accomplish on our own. We use our resources and volunteers to help partners do more than they could before.
We have partnered with several churches benevolence teams to assist homeowners in repairs. Community Gardens have sprouted up to meet the dietary needs in food deserts, and we help them with maintenance and expansion. Several community centers and schools have needed extra man power for events or moving facilities. Our homeless ministry partner allows us to go with them to deliver food and pray with people.
Volunteers have made a huge impact on New Orleans, and there is still so much to do!
