New update
We have now reached our goal! We are all so incredibly thankful to see the support you have all given us and little Isabella. Getting to our goal means that we can give her the surgery she needs and will set her up for a happier and healthier life. We will be proceeding with the consultation at the vet and we can't wait to post more updates on how she recovers. Thank you once again. Your support means the world to us and changes the lives of dogs like Isabella.
Our unexpected little puppy that was born in our system, has turned out to have an inguinal hernia which has to be repaired. This particular hernia requires a specialist, of course. The specialist that our vet recommends charges $5065-$5115 for this type of surgery. That includes everything, the consultation, anesthesia, surgery and the medication to go home. (that’s with a 10% discount for rescues). Scary isn’t it?
Many of you might ask what about the Big Day of Giving money that we raised a few months ago? That money was raised for spays and neuters and dentals, not for special surgeries. We can’t spend half the money we raised on one dog. That money was allocated towards 30-50 dogs, not one.
We need to raise the money for Isabella right now so that she can have her surgery later this month when she hits four months of age. Apparently, that’s the right time to do this type of surgery. She needs to be 4 months old and about 3 pounds to have her surgery.
Any donation, $10 or above is much appreciated. It ALL adds up. Isabella and I thank you.
