Each over 300 Idaho students get ready to go to court, not because they have to, but because they want to. These young people immerse themselves in the inner workings of our system of justice, learning rules of evidence and procedure and confronting the complexity of some of our most challenging legal issues. By spring, these students are ready to participate in their state mock trial competitions, seen by many as one of the premier civic education programs in the nation.

In real courtrooms, before real judges, teams try cases they have been preparing for many months. From opening statements, through direct and cross examination of witnesses, to closing arguments, each team has its own attorneys and witnesses and must be ready to present either side of the case before juries who score their performances.
