My name is Angela Masden, and I am the Director of Civic Engagement for Play Cousins Collective (PCC). My journey with PCC is deeply personal, rooted in a passion for advocating for youth and families who are often overlooked. Through my work, I’ve had the privilege to lead workshops, voter registration drives, and community outreach, all aimed at empowering marginalized voices. As a mother of a neurodivergent child and an advocate for boys of color with behavioral challenges, I understand the critical need for spaces where youth feel seen, supported, and heard.
At Play Cousins Collective, we believe youth enrichment goes beyond academics—it's about nurturing their entire well-being. Through our civic engagement programs, we empower young people with the tools and knowledge to advocate for themselves and their communities, fostering leadership, confidence, and a sense of agency. By connecting them to real-world issues and giving them a voice in social justice, we lay the groundwork for lifelong growth and empowerment.
