About 40% of the dogs we pull from shelters, and more than you would think that are owner surrenders, are heartworm positive. Left untreated the dogs would have a shortened life expectancy and would die a painful death. The treatment cost averages $1,500 per dog, and that is in addition to their regular vetting, dental, medication, etc. You can help us save more dogs by making a donation. 95% of all funds collected go straight to the medical care of our rescues.
