Jacob Olson

Transplant Type: Kidney

Jacob Olson is awaiting a new lease on life. He went in for a routine sports physical when he was 16, and was diagnosed with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). Unfortunately, there is a family history of kidney disease. Over the years, his illness has progressed and he is now on dialysis which impacts his quality of life and leaves him very tired. Doctors say a kidney transplant is necessary, but before he can be placed on the transplant waiting list, he has to raise $3,000.

During this difficult time, Jacob is thankful for the love and support of his family and friends. He looks forward to receiving a transplant that will give him back his energy and allow him to have a better quality of life. Jacob is a recent college graduate, but he’s had to put his career plans on hold due to his health. He wants nothing more than to be free from dialysis and be able to travel to visit friends across the country. But right now, he needs your help.

The average kidney transplant costs more than $335,000. And that’s only the beginning. Even with insurance, which will cover a portion of the transplant costs, Jacob still faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and anti-rejection medications. Post-transplant medications are very expensive, and they’re as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.

You can help by making a tax-deductible donation to NFT in honor of Jacob. If you'd prefer to send your gift by mail, please send it to the NFT Michigan Transplant Fund, 3249 W. Sarazens Circle, Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38125. Please be sure to write "in honor of Jacob Olson” on the memo line.

Thank you for your generosity!
