Help us raise money for Jaxon's Mobility Assistance Dog! Jaxon struggles with tasks that most kids can easily do, which is causing him to lose his independence. When searching for ways to help Jaxon maintain his independence we found 4 Paws for Ability. 4 Paws for Ability trains service dogs, specifically a mobility assistance dog in Jaxon's case, for disabled kids and veterans. These dogs must be bred, raised, and go through extensive trainings so that they meet the specific needs of the child that they are placed with - a process that can take over two years. Unfortunately, this also means that service dogs are very expensive, the average cost per service dog is $40,000-$60,000. 4 Paws for Ability covers a portion of this cost, but we still have to raise $17,000 for Jaxon to be eligible for a dog. Help us help Jaxon maintain his independence by raising money for his Mobility Assistance Dog!

Jaxon's dog will be trained to assist Jaxon in the following ways:

  • Walk next to Jaxon to help him stay sturdy
  • Help Jaxon stand up
  • Bark for help if Jaxon is unable to stand up
  • Wear a doggie backpack to carry things for Jaxon
  • Pull on Jaxon's sleeves and pant-legs to help him undress
  • Help with emotional support / frustrations - the dog will know to go to Jaxon and cuddle/kiss him
  • Turn lights on/off
  • Press handicap buttons

As always, we are beyond grateful for everyone's love and support for our superhero! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!
