Jaythan Kendrick free after 25 years in prison

On Nov 19, Innocence Project client Jaythan Kendrick was exonerated after spending almost 35 years in prison for a 1995 robbery and murder in Long Island City, NY, he did not commit. Kendrick was released the same day he was exonerated after a significant amount of evidence was uncovered that proved he was wrongfully convicted, including exculpatory DNA evidence and new evidence from witnesses who never testified at trial.

"If anything can come from this — it’s that somebody needs to figure out how we can stop innocent people from going behind that wall,” said Kendrick

Help him rebuild his life after spending nearly two and a half  decades in prison for a crime he did not commit.
